Vibration, Etc.
Well, I think I've done enough research by now to embrace the conclusion that the main source of the vibration in the bars and the flat spot in the powerband that I've written about in previous posts is caused by less than ideal tuning in that rpm range. And that tuning is evidently in place to allow the bike to pass emissions and noise standards. A buddy of mine is the service manager at a Ducati/Triumph/Aprilia/etc dealership in CA, and I spoke at length with him today about the issues I had with my bike. His opinion is that I need to get the ECM remapped, preferably with a TuneBoy. I would like to get in touch with someone who has a TuneBoy that will flash my ECM if I buy the software license. Is there anyone out there that can help?
