I want to replace my city lights (I think they are called city lights, the bulbs in front of the main lamps) on my 2004 955i. Where can I find replacements. I was thinking of getting a different color, like ultra white or blue.

I think that is a standard bulb that any automotive store carries. just take it with you.
My question is, how do you get it out of there?

First, if memory serves, the bulb number for the little bulb is 194. It's available at almost every auto parts store, there are a variety of colors, but make sure that the one you choose doesn't make you a magnet for local law enforcement. I know that in the US, you aren't allowed to run red or blue.

As far as removing those bulbs, pull the upper fairing off, and they are in rubber plugs, they pull out of the headlight assembly, and the bulb pulls out of the rubber bit. At least that's how it's done on '02-'06 models.
