top luggage frame

i know that this only concerns a few guys, the ones that have my side frames. and im not even sure that they want this top frame either. but i figure that i should show it none the less...this frame will be used to secure bulk items like a tent and sleeping bag. it will bolt down with 4 bolts/nuts. it also gives me the option to mount a top hard bag if i so choose. so watcha think?

thanks Cheap...but ill take my chances in the tent....and stop calling your house an outhouse...the correct word is Porta-Jon. it is sweet that ya opted for the double wide/handicapped version....

hahaha....an add on....whatch saying Triumphtimes?....ya want version 2.0 all ready?....have you even installed the frames yet? i have yet to road test them with anything attached to the top frame. i have been busy going over the bike with a fine toothed comb, getting ready for the trip. i suspect that it will be a nice addition though....its gunna get a real test in a day or so.....i also took everything apart from these stainless frames and gave them a nice wire brushed finish with a drill and rotary wire wheel. i think they turned out awesome looking...ill post pics in a day or so....the bike is all spiffied up with fresh wax and detailed inside and out.....its looking nicer than it has in a LONG time.

so Triumphtimes....with your comment of the teaser shot....would that be a suttle hint to, are ya gunna make me one? and how much?....i guess that if ya like it, and do want one...ill hook ya up of course.....it will be a while as my rip starts in a few days....ill have to assemble it after i return....pm me if ya have a decision if ya want one...or thoughts on the frame....

Dano,

I fitted the frames just to see the fit, nice. Haven't been able to use mine yet, but in October a nice long ride is planned and I hope to get a good road test in then. Yes, I would like the top rack. I haven't decided for sure which hard case I want yet, but am leaning towards the GIVI E21's I want something very small as I rarely change clothes or shower when out on the road and only need space for an emergency change of clothes, rain gear, tent and a few other things. Smell somewhat like a dead rodent after a week on the road, the wife doesn't allow me in the house w/o stripping down outside and quickly going into the shower.

Looks good but I think my converted pillion seat will work just fine. been so busy this summer with rallies runs and tours I havent had a free weekend in the garage to get the things fitted! But when I do I will post pics if I can ever work out how to ressurect my album.
