Looking at used Daytona

Gonna look at a '98 955i for sale. 18000 miles anything I should look closely at?

Shaun, '97s and early '98s had a 4th gear problem. Get us a VIN, engine number of a build date and we can help.

It it really says 955i then it won't have the 4th gear problems
Does tail say 955i or t595? If it is really is a 955i it is a 99 model (of course it could always just have later body pieces or decals) - check the manufacture date on the plate on the headstock.
Even if t595 most '98's don't have the problem either. Engine number definitely the safest way to tell though.

I rode a 10,000 mile daytona before I rode and bought my 2600 mile daytona. It had a front disc fault which could have been warped discs. My other half's triple got warped discs at 8000 miles.

Gaps.

Lots of variables contribute to that. I don't think that's necessarily the bike's fault. Could have been a fault to a certain lot of rotors or something but mine have 21,000 on them and they're straight as an arrow.
