Motorcycle Daily reports a European rumor that Triumph is developing an all new 1100 cc triple to potentially compete in WSB. It would replace the 1050 in all models and a new sportbike is anticipated. Release is of course a couple of years out we so we can wait by keeping track of the next round of announcemnts that Indian, Norton, Velocette and Arial each have huge financial backing and production release is just around the corner. At least BSA only died once and is resting quietly.

Building an 1100cc triple powered sportbike would be easy enough, but would Triumph want to commit spending the money to run a WSB team? I certainly hope so. If WSB came back to the USA, that would be even better.

I suggest they hold it at VIRginia Int'l Raceway this time.
