Ok, so I'm coming from an fzr 600 to a 98 595 daytona and don't know much about Triumphs yet....I am loving the daytona, with the exception of the very high idle, wich no one can seem to diagnose.....But, everything on line I read says this is a 955cc, but the only dealer here in town (who admits they are no expert cause they just picked Triumph up not long ago) says it's a 600cc..

Can someone help me out here... :???:

Yes, it's a 955. The T595 denotes T5 model, 95(5) engine. If it's red it's the most attractive Triumph ever.

Welcome to the forum. I know they are the only dealer in town, but you may want to venture outside of town if they think the T595 is a 600cc.

Anyways, I too came from an FZR600 and got my 955i less than 2 years ago.

tell him in 98 they "triumph" didn't even have a 600cc bike....it was a few years later that the TT600 came out.....and it was a in-line 4 cylinder....

Should be the opposite: hi rev idle cold until thermostatic valve opens and ECU lower revs to 1500+;

Do not let THIS dealer touch the bike;
