with your bike being stock?
Or....
Are you one of those that cannot leave anything alone?
What have you done to make your Daytona yours? Or are you preserving it the way Triumph intended?
I think most of you know by now that I am one that can't leave anything alone. I modify everything! It drives the wife crazy!
Sometimes it bothers me that I've tampered with a bike that is so limited in production. But then I get over it cause it is so cool!
I like the T3 Daytona as Triumph intended but I see in it the potential to be more. I have a bike in my mind's eye that is what the bike could be. I am striving to build my bike into the one I see.
I like the caracter of the older Daytona but desire the performance of the new one. Will I ever succeed in aquiring the performance of a new Daytona? Probably not. But if I can simply get it to hang,.....
At this point, I have more invested in my bike than it will ever be worth, but it doesn't bother me. It's not like I purchased it for an investment.
What is your position and why?

Mine's more or less standard, just a few items added to make life easier. Centre stand, front mudguard extension to stop stones flicking into the rad, rack, gaiters, uprated fork springs and a sprinkling of polished stainless allen screws.
It's a toy, a pure stress busting toy. I find it fast enough, comfortable, handling is nice and secure and I just like the way it looks and sounds as is.
It's all black with the standard black exhausts and carbon cans and I get a lot of complimentary comments when I park up from non-biking folk. :-D

My slant is that my T3 isn't a particularly great sportbike compared to the new syuff (what is, really) but it _is_ a fearsome s/t with the right mods.
I have an LSL tubular bar kit on the way, and will be going to a Russel seat and hard bags by the spring. I haven't figured out the bags yet, but I will.

Cool guys!
I agree that the T3 will never be what the new bikes are (not that it will stop me from trying). I see your point DDT. I also believe they make great sport tourers.
Daytona, what springs did you upgrade to? This is my next project. Do you like how it turned out? Would you purchase the same parts again?
