Has anyone else found that the coolant tank elbow fitting broke when they pulled up the seat to change a fuse or battery?? Is that a safety recall item?
Thanks!

Yes I broke mine when taking out the battery for winter. No I don't believe this is a recall item. If I remember correctly this part cost less than a dollar from Triumph. If you look I think you could find a cheaper replacement at a hardware store. Maybe even find one made of brass so you will have no worries of breakage in the future. Take in both pieces and you should have no trouble matching it up.

You can get them at any auto parts store.

If you look at the elbow, can you see a wrinkle in the plastic that looks like the ripple of stone thrown into a pond?

The mold temp was run too cold which induced stress into the part when it was manufactured.

Everyones broke.
