Hi All,

My 05 Daytona 955i came with the upgraded Triumph pipe and a friend just offered to sell me his Two Bros carbon fiber high mount pipe for $150. Obviously I will have to add in the price of the tune so total it would cost about $250 to swap pipes.

What do you guys think? Would there be much of a performance boost?

Thanks,
Heath

I'd do it because;

1) I like the high mount look.
2) The can is shorter.
3) It's Carbon, and that's another coolness factor point.
4) If you don't spend the money on your bike, your wife will vacuum the cash right outta your wallet.

If your dealer charges you $100.00 for a tune....find a new dealer! $35.00 tops for 1/2 hour of time. A good dealer will do them for FREE.

ER, PS, Two Bros stuff is BITCHEN! I have a carbon Daytona TBR pipe on mine and love the sound. Better than ALL the others I've heard.

Heath, The Triumph can is a pretty darn good can, albeit heavy. Like other FI bikes, most of any power increase is in the tune and from some semi-recent threads I've read you'll need to go back to the OEM tune with the 2Bros. I don't think I'd swap my TOR can for a 2Bros (maybe a high mount Trident titanium if there's a sale :razz: ).

That said, we've used 2Bros cans around here, they're well made and I like them.

I don't hang out here on a regular basis. (more in the Sprint forum) So I was curious about if something was found with the Two Bros cans running better with the stock tune. That's what it sounded like in your statement. I ask because when I first installed the TBR it seemed to run fine with the stock tune. I did have the Triumph Off Road tune loaded and I think it is more responsive through mid range (as I remember, it's been on for so long now I've lost my base to compare it to) but it does seem that it may actually be to rich for the pipe at times. Granted I have an RS so maybe this doesn't apply to my bike at all, but I have considered having the stock tune reloaded again. My dealer has put me off of it because I have no real complaints with this tune as it is now. Any input, and I apologise for the Hijack, I just didn't know where to look for what might have been something I missed recently.
