Anyone has ever measured any performance improvement by using K&N air filter (TB9097) or similar in dyno tests or max speed/ acceleration measurements?

Is it really necessary to remap the ECU if exhaust is kept the OEM?

Plan to change the filter in the next scheduled maint. on 01 955i;

Luiz, With all of the cars dyno'd, a K&N flows no better than a new paper element, therefore no retuning. Now a K&N will flow better for more miles and the filter charger kit is good for at least four servicings.

I like them. Since I'm servicing other K&Ns, I'll likely pick up one for the '04 D955i. (At a little over 5200 miles, it's filter is still quite clean so it may be a while.)
