Well my wife finally made me install the passenger seat on the Daytona and we went for a ride. Disappointment, sort of because as with the RS we are both encountering terrible buffeting. I only get this when I ride two up? Anyone else have this problem or have an answer as to why we cannot ride two up on any newer bike without an unenjoyable experience. I've tried to reposition myself, but it really doesn't help or it makes for an uncomfortable ride. Neither of us have the problem w/o helmets or even if one of us doesn't wear a helmet, but I can't do that.

triumphtimes, I don't know what the problem could be, but I alleviated a solo buffeting problem with one of my helmets by installing a taller aero screen. It could be a situation where two different helmets would help. Off-hand an (f)Arai/HJC(r) and a (f)Scorpian/HJC(r) work well.

I was kind of thinking along the same line Brad. I am thinking it is my Shoei that is the problem. My wife has tried an HJC and an Arai, both cause horrible buffeting between us. So I will try an old HJC I have to see if there is a difference. There has to be others that have this problem?

keep your head down arse up tell her to tuck in tight and there will be no problem even with the standard screen.

I will try a different helmet to see if that helps. I really like my Shoei. Could be the perfect excuse to never ever put the pillion pad on again :hihi:

Other Motorcycle: anything I can get.
I have a double bubble and have ridden 2 up with no problems maybe its the way to go.

While we both wear helmets when riding, I also have the Triumph tall(er) screen and have had no problems.
