I got the Motorcycle Service Manual for my new Daytona online, and started to look up some basic maintenance tasks. In some of them they mention using tools from the "toolkit". Is this something that would have come with the bike new? Is this something that I can purchase, and if so, where is the best place to purchase it?

In addition, as I purchased the bike from a dealer rather than the original owner, I don’t know how the bike was ridden (raced, tooling around town), hence I will assume the worst. Any suggestions of things that I should look for to insure the bike is in top condition? Everything seems to run great, it starts on the first try every time, sounds great, all fluids look to be at the correct level (anti-freeze was about a cup low).

I’m going to lube the chain (I have put 350 mi on the bike since I got it). The dealer changed the oil and filter the day I picked it up. What else should I do? Oh the bike has 4500 mi on it.

Steve, I rescued the original toolkit from my '05 when I killed it (and before the insurance assessor took it away) so I have that available. You're welcome to it free if you'd like to cover the freight (airmail to USA from OZ).

It's complete and clean as new.
