I've been posting on here for about a month now. I bought a theft recovery bike and was waiting for some fittings to come in for the fuel system. I got everything in on Monday and it runs perfect. I took it for about a 40 mile ride last night. It was my maiden voyage, and HOLY SMOKES. I'm coming from a 82 Yamaha 750 Maxim, so this thing is a stinkin rocket compared.

On the 40 mile trip I was very comfortable. It took some getting used to the position change from my old bike. My neck and wrists felt fine. Although a bump caught me by surprise, and that didnt feel so great. All in all I LOVE this bike. I can see where you guys are coming from as far as fun-ablility.

It has a two brothers racing exhaust system on it,and it sounds great too.

Where did you buy the bike? I thought I saw one in back at Midwest Salvage about a week ago... was that yours?

Thats the one I bought. I was waiting for some fuel lines. It was a theft recovery, and they stole the tank. When they stole it they broke the male fitting on the supply line, and I had to order a fuel sender. I work next door @ Saved Auto Parts.

Do you go to midwest much? I've known them for about 7 years now since i've been working here. A couple of guys from here have purchase bikes from them in the past. So if I ever need anything they're right next door.

I was first looking at that yellow Ducati back there, but didnt want to spend the $$$$ on that one. Then I saw this one. I saw one of these Triumphs at Elkhart Lake a few years back when I was at the Suzuki Superbike Doubleheader. That really caught my eye,so when I saw this. I had to have it.

I have only been their (Midwest salvage) twice... They had a 2006 Ninja with 300mi on it that I was looking at. Then I took a 1996 Daytona super III for a ride down at a dealer around where I work and fell in love with the Triumph. Tried to by that one but they wouldn't sell it for what I was going to pay so I started searching the web for Daytona's and found this one down in Milwaukee. So I grabed it as quick as I could.

That yellow Ducati looked nice, but it was sold before the first time I was down there, I also didn't want to deal with all the work you need to put into a Ducati.

Sometime... when I actually fell comfortable on the bike, we should go for a ride. You would laugh if you saw me on it now...

Where do you work? I'm at schneider (in their IT building on ashland ave)
