So, a while back I hit a speed bump which dented my header pipe pretty good. I wanted to have the dent taken out so that I could send it off for ceramic coating from Jet-hot. RPS Racing looked at the pipe and called me today to tell me that they cannot fix it. Apparently, there is no way they can get it to seal in order to blow the dent out.

Now what? I guess I need a new header. You guys have any ideas?

fivehundo, The dented area can be cut out and a new section welded in. It is quite common for a custom system to have a primary pipe made of several short pieces.

If the dent were just on the pipe that might work. Unfortunately, my leak is coming from the collector. I would think it would be repairable but this guy is apparently pretty good and he told me that he can't do it. I might get a second opinion but otherwise, I think I'm screwed...

Get a Zard full system. The one for the speed triple should bolt right on, no problems. Then you might have to hire a dyno, but it'd be the baddest daytona around. At least, that's my plan when I get the money for the Zard.

Will the Zard full system really fit a Daytona (2005 to be exact)?
