Hi All,
Recently my side stand has been making a metalic noise as I raise it. I can't remember it doing this debore, but everything seems still to be in place. It comes to rest of a small screw, holding a plastic washer, that seem to be there for the purpose of stopping the side stand, perhaps it is now hitting the screw instead of the plastic bit, anyone got the same - oh by the way it's a 2004 Daytona 955i.

Thanks

DaveG, That screw is supposed to secure a semi cone shaped piece of rubber.

Thanks for the response brad - I think the black plastic bit I have on mine is probably what you are referring to, although does yours stick out proud of the screw? Mine just looks like a big black washer....

DaveG, Proud by about 1/4" on the sides and top and about 1/2" on the bottom. The plastic sleeve is inside the pad that's held on with the T20 screw.

After reading this I went out and shot a couple of pictures. Hopefully this is what you were talking about. I have not had any problems as you speak of though.
