Hi guys!
I have a bit of a problem. While changing the air filter on my 04 Daytona 955i; I noticed a place on the tank for a hose that had no hose in it. After consulting my Haynes Daytona service manual; It calls this part the "fuel pressure regulator".
A friend of mine and I looked everywhere for this hose or an open "port" somewhere else on the bike. The Haynes manual points to parts I do not have.
If this is intentionally missing shouldn't there be a cap over it?
There was an after-market pipe on the bike when I bought it. Could this be the reason for removing the fuel pressure regulator?
Also the bike rarely (almost never) starts on the first try from a cold start. Could this be part of my problem? I am thinking of taking it to the shop but wanted to get ya'lls opinion before I do.
Thanks

No worries...it's just the regulator vent. Earlier models had a short hose connected that didn't go anywhere. On later models Triumph omitted the hose altogether, but since the regulator didn't change the nipple stayed. The regulator vents to atmosphere so don't cap it.
