I have some adhesive that's stuck on one of my fairings and I want to remove it. I know that some chemicals are not good to put on paint but I've used Aceytone to take suff off before. Will Aceytone harm my OEM paint you think? :???:

The paint will wipe right off!! First it will get dull and then gummy.

Do not use acetone on any plastics or paint!

Try goo gone - it's fairly benign.

WD 40, it disolves the glue and does not touch the paint.

That is what I would suggest. I use it all the time for things like this. Also to note, When I wash my bike, the easiest way to clean my rims is spray WD40 on a rag, and wipe the crud off, then wash the bike. :-D

Bug and tar remover. I use turtle wax brand. Works great.

Just to put it into perspective Acetone will dissolve your paint faster than lacquer thinner will! Stick with the other suggestions!

Yeah, I was thinking it would be mild enough. I thought finger nail polish remover would be okay. Glad I checked... :hammer:
