I'm interested in suggestions for tires on a 99 Daytona, I keep having either the 020 or 014 Battlax's recommended. I'm looking for a good all round tire capable of a track day or two a year.

If anything I'm interested in keeping the cost down.

Battlax not recommended from me, they were on my bike when I bought it and I didn't like them at all, as well as the previous owner they were recommended to him so he bought them but didn't like. I found a set of Maxxas Supermaxx (180 on rear not 190) on ebay for 185 shipped, I love them so far. I have put 2k on them so far.

The other recommendation has been a Diablo Corsa on the front and a Diablo on the rear, the Diablo being a bit harder to balance life and keep the front a bit more behaved in the event of a track day...

I'm also running the standard Diablos on my 99. I like 'em just fine and the life is good. Yes, they're grippy enough for a trackday or two. Done it many times.

I had Michelin Pilot Pros on my Ducati and loved them. I just put them on my Daytona last weekend and they are still great. I try to push them to the limit in the turns but they preform better then I do.

Thanks, I'm leaning to a set of Diablo's primarily for cost (save just under $100). I think I'll skip the Corsa front...
