For all you guys that have purchased an 06 955 Daytona brand new, what was the out the door price? I am looking at an 06, but was unaware of the steep Dealer setup fee and the "documentation" fee.

I bought my '05 "on the road" for $9200.00 last spring. Included all the taxes, set up ect. It's part of buying a new bike. I didn't mind the set up fee as the dealers excellent mechanics actually go over the whole bike, not just a set up service that just puts the wheels on and sends it to the dealer. Be sure the bike is really done right, it varies from dealer to dealer. Some do little more than charge the battery, put gas in in and do a bad wash job.

I bought my 2003 955i brand new in 2006 for $8100 out the door with 35% off parts.

I looked at 04's through 06's but honestly like the look of the 02's and 03's better. (cooler front end and pillion covers in my opinion)

Keep looking and you can find a one or two year old (still w/ 2 yr warranty) for a ton less than a new 06.
