I'm looking at doing the 1 down 2 up sprocket swap. What is the stock number of teeth on my 98 Daytona?

One random question. Why do people put a new hugger on the rear as soon as they get a bike? Is an after market better than the stock one? It may be a dumb question but what the hell.

not sure on the teeth count, but most people add a hugger because the Single sided swing arm didnt come w/ one from the factory.

Bonus. Guess the guy who had this before added one. He also put a hub cap over the axle nut. I'm finding all kinds of stuff that was done to it that I would have wanted to do. Wonder if theres a power commander on it?

Yeah it has a high mount carbon exhaust. Not sure what brand. No labels or anything.

It does the typical low rpm 1st gear stutter step. Also the speedo seems to be off noticably. I think i've read about people mentioning those problems.

probably a Triumph can.. got any pics, as for the stuttering could be the tune, i'd take it to the dealer and have them check to see if a TOR tune has been installed.

Here it is. Its pretty dirty. I got caught in some nasty weather yesterday. Hail and rain and high winds.

You said to see if I have the TOR tune. Should I have them put that in? What does TOR stand for?

About the only things i'd like to add are frame sliders, fender eliminator, grippier foot pegs (any suggestions?), and pazzos.

Should be 18/43. Huggers? I have a dirt/gravel driveway at the end of a dirt road. A hugger keeps most of the ***** off my swingarm and shock.

TOR = Triumph Off Road
Thats Definately a Triumph can you got there!!!!
Screams like a demon huh??!!!

You should have a tune loaded when you put an after market exhaust on to adjust air/fuel settings. If you just slap the pipe on it might make it run kind of goofy.
Take her to the dealer they will let you know what kind of tune you have.

As for frame sliders go to skykingproducts.com they seem to be the prefered choice around here. They might have some better pegs for ya too.

Have fun!!! :hammer: :hammer:
