I can understand the allure of the Daytona600, but seriously - would you really give up one of the greatest bikes in history for it?

It IS a very nice bike and I think the BEST looking 600 class sportbike on the market. I test rode one about a month ago. Btw, I just parted with an '03 R6 which i bought new for about same retail price ($7999). But, don't forget dealers are currently offering $500 cashback inventive on all new Daytonas AND low APR financing.

On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, here's the verdict:

D600 3 and 1/2 stars + 1 star for best looking 600 sportbike

R6, no question about it if you like performance, 5 stars!!!

I have been reading about it, seems it hold its own against other 600's performance wise!

the more I look... the more I like

I have owned a Daytona 600 for 2 years 17,000 miles and Replaced the 02 sensor which was faulty. It's a fine handling bike with good brakes i have a race can and power commander fitted which gives the bike more mid range and responds quicker. It,s a good track bike it lacks the top end of new R6 but is still a very nice ride.

Not to bash Triumphs, as I've owned 2 in the past few years, but what is the allure of the 600-compared to R6s, CBR 600s, or even the Triumph 675?

I'm assuming you're planning on using this as a track beast and typically those other bikes mentioned above are considered the "better" track bikes.

Just curious.
