So, one last question that I fear might not go down well:

I'm looking to go cruising across the UK and europe, hence my desire for a large capacity engine. However, it's got to be said that this will be my first heavy and I'm worried that going from 125 with 30HP up to 150HP might be a tad extreme. I've ridden 600's and 750s and feel fairy confident, but I've not done massive mileage on a heavy.

What do you think? Take it real easy with the 955i and climb that steep learning curve, or ditch the idea and look around for a 600 or 750?

I say go for it. Just take it easy for a while. The bike will do about everything you want, and then it will start teaching you that you want to do more simply because it can.

Fine. But if I wind up dead, I'm totally coming to haunt you

hey all, well i made the leap and bought the daytona.

Awesome bike! I love the low end torque that allows you to ride all nice and gentil through town, but when you open her up... man. When the power band kicks in and the engine make that slightly raspy roar... wow.

I got her for £3400 in the end, recent service, brand new tyres, great condition. I think I've done alright!

Thanks for your advice in helping me make the Triumph leap, guys.

Here she is:

Argh! as if I didn't have enough temptation before. Is £695 with VAT?

Loco,
