I knew there was an accident, didn't know it was a triumph. I wonder if he was a member here.

A 29-year-old man died Tuesday when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed while riding north on Route 53 in Palatine.
The victim is Jason Lopez of Lake Zurich, police said.
Lopez died after he lost control of his 2001 Triumph motorcycle while traveling in the left lane at a high rate of speed, Illinois State Police officials said.
Police said Lopez lost control while accelerating, drove into the right lane, then into the grass embankment where he hit his head on a guard rail.
He was pronounced dead at 5:03 p.m. at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, police said.
Crews were called at 2:39 p.m. to Route 53 just north of Dundee Road, Palatine Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Andersen said.
Lopez crashed the bike north of the Dundee Road entrance ramp, Andersen said. Road conditions appeared normal.
“It was sunny out, traffic didn’t seem to be too bad,” Andersen said. “Everything seemed fine; the road wasn’t wet at all.”
Illinois State Police reduced traffic to one lane on Route 53 in the vicinity of the accident during their accident reconstruction investigation, police said.
No further information was available late Tuesday night.
This area is known for bikes speeding. I am guilty. There is a really nice long straight shot and then it ends and turns into an exit ramp, but traffic is always light. Sounds like he just lost it. Just thought I would share this.
