I have this strange buzzing noise when I turn on the key on my 02 Daytona 955i.It keep buzzing while running and is showing the engine warning light.
Any ideas????? :???:

That's my guess.

Normal on a lot of cars but I've never noticed anything more than a meek humming. Did you disconnect the fuel system? Sometimes on cars if you run them out of gas or de-pressurize the system, them pump will take a few seconds to build the pressure back up.

I think it has been run dry.I filled it up and it is slowly getting quieter.

This is a common malady with these bikes. It's well known and some people actually got their fuel pumps warranteed for the noise. It makes absolutely no difference to performance and, if your bike is like most, will come and go a bit. Usually at it's worst after bike has been sitting for a while.

Keep in mind that an electronic fuel pump relies on the fuel for cooling/lubrication. This is why people tell you never to run a fuel injected car too low. The pump can overheat. It probably won't have any long term damage but it's good practice to leave enough fuel in the tank properly cool and lubricate the pump (this is one of those 'do as I say not as I do' kind of things). :-D :-D :-D
