So I've seen the post and pic (thanks dano!) of the Sargent seat, and I've been to the Corbin website and looked at their seat, but lookin' at pictures won't really tell me anything that I need to know before I buy.

Does anyone have experience with BOTH of these seats- sat on them, ridden on them, owned them, seen them in person, etc, and could make a comparison?
How are they different, similar, which is softer, firmer, which is better built, etc, etc, etc?
I need some hard facts, man!

thanks-

...well, I guess maybe I can answer my own question. Went to the Sargent website, and they don't even list a seat for a 2000 Daytona, just 2002 onwards. Mute point???

...and Corbin doesn't make a seat for newer Daytonas. So if you've got one of those, it is a moot point.

The deal with Sargent is you send them your stock seat off the bike and they replace your stock seat cover with a new one from their list of materials. You pick the texture, weave pattern or colored piping if you want. They will also reshape and add new foam to make it more comfortable. In my case I had a Corbin already that the seat cover had worn out on so I had Sargent reshaped the foam and recover it. They do great work, I'm very happy with mine.
It's best to call and tell them what you've got then they'll walk you through the choices over the phone, do this with their website pulled up to see what they're talking about.
Good luck, you won't be disappointed.

I have a Sargent on my Triple and it is much better than my stock seat. I think they did a great job with as small an area as they had to work with.
