Can anybody provide feedback on suspension upgrades done to front & rear on the '05 955i? Seems like Ohlins & Hagon have rear shocks, but I find nothing for front end mods. Thanks!

For the fronts, the best bet is to get them rebuilt. Racetech does an awesome job. Here is their website to check it out. They will replace the springs, oil and the end peices that go inside. You also tell them your weight and riding style and they adjust it all there before they send them back.

For the rear. Ohlins is a dang good company. They are expensive though. But you can't go wrong with them

You can also send it to PPS suspension in Huntington Beach... They will rebuild the stock forks with Ohlins internals. Mine has that...

If it frustrates you enough, someone (I forget who) made a triple clamp that accepts GSXR forks on the 955i. Expensive, but you could put GP forks on your Daytona at that point if you can afford the price tag...

I had the full monty front rebuild done by Lindemann Engineering. Reason being I was getting a lot of tracktime and they did all the suspension work on Curtis Adams' Daytona racebike which he was cleaning up with in the AMA Sound of Thunder class in 1988, so they had intimate knowledge of the forks. It was a revelation over stock. The back end got an Ohlins but I could never get it dialed in properly to make it good for the track AND comfortable on the street. It always felt a bit overdamped. I'm sure I would've gotten there eventually with some time and a little re-valving, though.
Cheers, Lee S.

Just purchased Hyperpro springs front... Originals are 0,748kg/mm or sumthing Hyperpros are progressive so weight is not so big broblem...
Will get back to ya after testing, if there is not snow before get them installed...

I would've loved to do a swap to a GSXR front end and put some superbike forks on there, but...I didn't have that kind of cash.

What I did was expensive enough:

Traxxion Dynamics AK-20 cartridges in the front forks and a Penske rear shock...

Makes a NICE difference over stock...

Hagon DOES have the front springs for '05's. I am going to try them, along with a remote adjustable rear shock, this winter when I put the Avons on it. Anybody have the Hagon rear shock? What kind of improvement have you had? Thanks!!!
