I'm extremely impressed with their service, much better than the arrogant indifference of another large custom seat company.

The seat itself is very well made and nice looking, not as thick as the gel seat from Triumph, but "dished out" as if it was inspired by an old metal tractor seat. It is roughly two inches wider than the gel seat at the back, but about the same in the front. I didn't realize that it had a carbon fiber base! Once in riding position, it spreads your weight out more evenly, and over a larger area. It remains sleek enough to look fine on a sport bike such as the Daytona. It also arrived well packed and ahead of schedule.

I just wanted to give them a good word, because it's hard to find a quality product delivered on time with courtesy these days! :-D

I too am impressed with Sargent. I bought a Corbin seat for my Daytona just after I got the bike (9 years ago) and after about 5 years of use the seat cover began to split in several places. I called Corbin about getting the seat recovered and to my surprise (shock) they said it would cost nearly as much to recover my seat as it would to just buy a new one!
That's when I called Sargent. They could recover the seat with upgraded materials, reshape the foam, and add custom color piping all for less than Corbin wanted just to recover it. Talking with them on the phone they made suggestions and custom designed my recover to suit me and the bike. It's beautiful and the workmanship is excellent. I'd say I'm pretty happy with their work. Fast service too.

Skiandclimb--

Sent a PM, and thank you for the interest, but I have to see how the Sargent and I fit together on a few rides before I get rid of the gel seat.

Could you post a pic? I'm in the market for a new seat as well. Corbin was the defacto choice, but if the Sargent looks good, is well made, reasonably priced, and comfortable...
