Other Motorcycle: anything I can get.
First night ride and the headlights on the 995 are vibrating like there mounted in jelly, like looking at a f**kin stobe light, is this normal? I hope not :???:

I haven't noticed that on my 04, They are the same as the 06's. I would look for a loose bolt or missing one.

Added: I did forget to mention though, that can't see very well in my rear view mirrors because of vibration. But don't notice that with the headlights.

doodledog, My bike had, um, less than correct suspension settings when I bought it resulting in a very erratic headlight beam, maybe similar to yours. Get out the owner's manual and start at the normal settings.

Brad

PS If you want spring settings for a 180 lb. rider let me know.

thanks guys, did notice today that when riding the square rubber conectors that you can see plugged into the bulbs are loose and shaking around on bumps this must mean the whole assembly must be loose, will get the dealer to sort it on first service.

Well looked again and the right light is fixed and solid, the left however when you move the square plug the bulb and the headlight reflector as a complete unit will move up and down about two inches which I think means the vertical adjuster is not connected. Rang the dealer they can fit it in next weekend! so about to have a look. :hammer:

That'll be it then.

I swapped my Bulbs for Xenon ones from Halfords and it improves the headlights no end. Much brighter. Also adjusted the vertical on em as they were set way too low. They now work as well as well as the old 1200 ones.
