So I went out for a ride w/ my cousin the other day. He has an 06 BMW K1200R with a Throttle Meister cruise control bar end setup. That was awesome! A simple roll of the bar end and trhe throttle was locked into place. Also, if needed, you can roll it "off" just as easily.

Was wondering if anyone had one on their Daytona. I checked their site (www.throttlemeister.com) but they didn't show an applicaiton for a daytona 955i after 2001.

Anyone?

they don't make it, but if you have a metric tap set, you can tap out the bar end to the larger M6 thread that the Throttlemeister uses. Stock is M5. Just one pass w/ the new tap and you would be golden.

I ended up getting cyclecat bar risers so I can't use one until I devise a way to mount it into the hollow bars that CC provides.

Guys-just wanted to update you on an alternative to the Throttle Meister: Throttle Boss. Cost: $ 12.00. Installation Time: 5 seconds. Modifications to Bike: 0. I put on about 200 miles with it today, a little bit of all types of roads and I really enjoyed the comfort it gives on the highway and it is out of the way for aggressive riding. All you do is ease up your hand and it lets the throttle ride in your palm.

I have a Throttle Rocker (the original to the Throttle Boss), and I have ridden bikes w/ the throttlemeister. While the throttlerocker is nice, it's nothing like the TM. The TR requires your hand to always be on the bar, and while it's nice to be able to just rest your open hand on the bar and control the throttle that way, when you need to work out cramps in your throttle wrist/arm/shoulder, you still end up losing 20-30 mph on the slab, and risk getting run down by the soccer mom behind you who isn't paying attention to you but rather to her 4 screaming kids, and her bridge cosmetolegist on the cell phone. The TM allows you to maintain speed w/o having a hand on the bar, allowing you work out cramps or temporarily rest the right arm like many of us do our left arm on the tank while riding distances.

Throttle Meister is nice. Didn't have a problem hold speed with minimum hand/arm effort. Worked good for me and is a bit cheaper. Great stuff, Thanks!!

Throttle Boss is, but hy would you want it on a Triple-Tona? I take it off when I do aggressive riding and only use it when I put on some highway miles. The thing does give some interference with my hand, about 1/10th of a second, and that may be enough to create a problem when riding like it's track day. On the road, it works like a charm for $10.00, doesn't loose speed unless you fall asleep .

I know this is an old post but I figured i'd just "renew" it rather than start another.

I'm interested in the Throttlemeister for my 98 Daytona but i'm curious on how the black plastic collar works. It sounds like it slips between the throttle sleeve and handlegrip. My throttle sleeve has 4 nubbs on the end of it and ribs that run the length of the sleeve to keep the grip from slipping. Am I going to have issues with that plastic collar fitting over that?

Oh nevermind, I found installation instructions over in the Sprint section. I guess you've got to grind/file off the end nubbs in order to fit the friction sleeve.

Here's the link: http://www.triumphrat.net/sprint-for...k-through.html
