my Triumph kicks a$$. Really. I thought I'd fallen in love with a metallic blue Lotus, and was ready to sell the S2000 and Triumph to buy her. After a night on the barstool (pretty rare, but desperate times call for...) I realized what fools we mortals be.

Daytona 955's are beautiful. Fast and exciting. Nothing sounds so sweet. If I could figure out how to post pictures, I could show how versatile they are, whether loaded with soft luggage and exploring the "hill" country of Florida, or traversing miles of gravel road alongside abandoned citrus railways, or running errands around town, or simply getting out to the middle of nowhere to travel fast. Comfort, speed, tank range, looks, handling, smoothness, reliability, gas mileage, ease of maintenance, excitement. Truly we live in a golden age, and the Daytona is one of this age's stars.

Now I have to figure out how to keep it and still get the Lotus!

p.s. Before the safety patrol comes out, I must say that no motorcycles were ridden during tonight's escapades. We had a designated driver. But he wasn't driving a Lotus...
