I have a 2000 daytona 955i. I love the looks, i love the power, i love the comfort...but one thing that is pissing me off is the sound. I have a highmount triumph carbon fiber racing exhaust. It sound incredibly sweet with my helmet on, but as soon as i take it off i can hear how raspy it sounds. The deep tone is awesome, but how do i get rid of that raspy sound?....is this caused by a leak from something vibrating itself loose or what??

thanks

buy a trident pipe from wolf. Not raspy like TOR. I compared mine to a friend who has TOR. Trident is the best sounding I have heard.

I love the raspiness. Can't help you.

My only suggestion is to try something a little more mainstream? A Two Brothers or Leo Vince, perhaps???

Not sure... :???:

it sounds like total***** though.. its not like a good raspy... it sounds like someone is just hitting it.... this engine is meant to howl deep.. not sound like a buttload clicks

maybe i should send it in for service to see if the sound is somewhere i cant tell because it really is obnoxious....

anyone know what the 6,000 mile service costs in the states?

it has to be the sheer velocity from the engines... because when you whack the throttle the exhaust can push your hand back....

i guess with that kind of flow everything is going to vibrate...

with that said.. ill stop looking for onlookers, keep my helmet on, and just live with the performance
