Have been riding a Bonnie. But thinking about a bit more oomph.Tried a 02 Daytona but at 5'8" it just feels too large.Too much of a strech to the bars and too far too the floor. Is the earlier model any smaller (more comfortable)?
Seen an imaculate 98 model for sale but have nt tried it for size yet.

I'm 5'8" and I can put both feet flat on the pavement at stops. And it's comfortable enough that I was able to do over 600 miles in one day, and I could have gone out and done it the next day if I'd had the time. I've never sat on an '02 though, so I don't know what the differences might be.

Perhaps the 02 you tried had modified suspension or jacked up preload? I'm 5'8" and have no difficulty reaching the bars or ground comfortably. I have softened the rear preload a half turn. I am about to install a set of Helibars to raise and pull back the grips. It has more to do with my middle age than with my size.
