I'm considering ordering these too...

Anyone have an opinion on them...or something similar?

Very nice. Thanks for the pics.

How much effort did it take to mount them? It looks pretty simple, but looks can be deceiving.

I've got the no-cut sliders on my 99 Daytona. After I smacked a dog at about 55mph and went down, here's what happened. Bike landed and slid on it's left side. The slider bent back some. The left side case cover wore through, left side panel is toast, bellypan is toast. Upper recieved just a little scratch at the corner.
No frame damage, no radiator or other engine damage.
I also have the rear sliders which bolt to the subframe at the passenger peg location. These kept my tailsection and MAXX pipes off the ground completely. No damage whatsoever.
Although it sounds like a lot of damage, I consider it a tradeoff as I expect that with or without sliders, body damage will occur. It's the real engine/frame damage that I want to avoid and thus have reinstalled new ones.
Cheers, Lee S.

they are fairly simple to install. It just mounts into the motor mount spot right there in the hole in the fairing. shouldn't take more than about 30 mins. Let me know how it goes if you end up getting them. Oh and I have really been thinking about getting the rear section and axel sliders. Lee can you still use the rear pegs with the rear sliders?

I don't think so. It doesn't look like it. Course, i've never tried, either. Rear pegs came off when we got the wife her own bike :-D .
