my bike has just started running rough, and stumbles, real bad when first started .
it act,s like it is running on all the cylinder,s , once you get underway it runs fine, sounds like it is flooding when it is first stated.
it only has 7500 mile,s on her , also you have to crank 4-5 times before she fire,s off , what do ya think?

I guess the first question is: have you done the 6000 mile service yet?

Start simple- check plugs, air filter, etc. Next I would try to reset the computer manually....start the bike and don't touch the throttle...let it run then for 12 or so minutes and the ECU should "learn" your specific envoironment. If all else fails, have it remapped by your dealership.

I, too, have an 03 955i, and have noticed that with the recent weather changes, it doesn't always start the first time.

Hope this all helps,
Ski

Bad fuel? Ethanol causes some of those symptoms in my bike. Like, rough starts when cold, hard starts when hot, doesn't idle when cold well, stumbles on accel. 10% ethanol is 10% to ***** much.

Food for thought.

Amen Brother, this ethanol stuff is making me crazy. On the 02 and the 05 start up is a process. If it sits over night it usually takes 2-3 trys to start. Mine just sat for a couple of days and it took 4. If you have ethogas then this is prolly your problem.

if it keeps up have the throttle body sync checked, these bikes are very sensetive to being out of sync even a little bit.
