Hi Everyone,

I just got the 600 mile service on my 03 Daytona 955. During this service, I had the dealer attempt to adjust my riding height. I am 5'8 and about 185 pounds. They were able to successfully adjust the rear shock, so that there is now only about an inch travel when I sit on the bike, but they didn't have any luck with the front fork. No matter how much pre-load they added, the front fork would sag at least 2 and half inches each time I sat on the bike. Has anyone had a similar problem with setting up their bike? I am wondering whether I need to buy after-market springs or are my current springs defective??

Safe travels!

bollox - search the advice of a race guy or a dealer that has raced the bike in question he will know! Chances are it's about raising the forks and changing oil up a wt 'cos as you are a short geezer your weight is distributed around your gut! Don't mean to offend but a spade is a spade - get some oz's over the front by raising the forks .droppin' them thru' the triple clamps and stiffen the springs with a spacer perhaps - sort the static sag in that process ! Then rail them corners with a toot toot! A dealer is just an option, many options are beneficial !
