My 05 Daytona has no intake howl at all. Are there any airbox mods that can be done to change that. I hate to buy a 675 just so I can get the howl.. :-D

Hi from Santa Rosa! Look, a local!

A lot of folks prefer the K&N, but I'm not sure how much howl you'll get with that. I have a stock '04, and I get plenty of howl if I have the throttle cracked wide. Perhaps you just need to start riding more aggressively!

You're joking about having to upgrade bikes because you want intake noise though, right?

Cobra, Sounds like a drastic move.

I'm not aware of any airbox changes from '04 to '05. With stock gearing and can, any throttle increase above 4K RPM generated some intake honk. With the TOR can it's more difficult to hear and regearing requires a bigger throttle increase, but it's still there.

You might try removing the tank and the lid of the airbox and see if any sound deadening changes were made.

Brad

I guess I am weird.. I really dig the howl of my supercharger in my mustang. I heard a 675 the other day and it has an awesome howl too so I wanted to give my 955i a howl. ;>)

Cobra, Like this? BTW, the SuPerformance MK.III is quicker than the bikes.

There's a couple of '03-'04 running low 9s out of Strickly Performance.
