I'm looking to buy a Super III. I found one that seems to be in nearly mint condition with low mileage. However, something seems odd about the instrument cluster. I know it isn't supposed to be anything like my Speed Triple, but something seems to be missing. Does anyone have a close-up picture of a stock Super III instrument cluster?
Thanks in advance.
Hey! What are you doing over here?
There is a row of 5 or 6 small holes just below the guages. Seems like something is missing from that area. I just don't have anything to compare it to.
OK, under my warning lights, the mounting bracket has a series of holes. You SHOULD have a speedo, tach, temp guage. The warning lights should be in a strip under the guages.
Oh. Well, maybe it isn't missing anything. You know me - suspect of anything Cliff has for sale. You never know with him. Bike does seem to be in excellent condition though.
No I haven't. I've heard it run and it sounds fine. Wayne took it out on a long ride and gave it a clean bill of health. In fact, he said it ran very well and was in perfect tune. The bike looks fantastic - which is why I'm concerned they haven't moved it out on the floor. It's in the old building behind the dealership. Angus is guarding it.

If Wayne says it's OK, it probably is. It is suspicious why it's in the back. Only thing that comes to mind is somebody else or a Cliffiepal may want to buy it. That would suck if they did. I don't know/care how easy it will be to get it, but that bike may not last long.
