So I keep hearing of 02-03-04 Daytonas sitting in dealerships waiting for someone to come get them.

whats in your local dealership?

I know I can get a 2005 for $8483.00
but what can I get in the $6,000 + range?

any 2002 still around unsold?

was looking at Ebay but if I'm going to drive/fly cross country to get a bike shoot might as well see whats out there new but old.

If not, gonna ride the ***** out of my sprint until they release the 2008 Daytona

An 05 for $8400?!?!?!? New?!? Stop looking and jump all over it!

Just bought my 03, new and out the door for $8500.

A local dealer here in St. Louis has an 02 in Caspian blue for $8600 OTD, just for comparison.

I had a deal going on a used one that just fell through, might end up buying that new 2005 and trading in my sprint.

I was looking at a green 2002 CE that was ....WOW gorgeous!

makes me want to have one painted that color

I'd love to find a newer D955. It's kind of hard to part with my 99, but I would trade up for a newer one for that price range.

I got out the door with an '05 Blacke SE 955i at 8700.00 and haven't looked back! I was looking at a 99 1200SE for 6k, but for the upgrade, I couldn't say "no". Go with the new '05's while they are around. It's a great bike!

Patience and luck. Keep watching ebay. Sooner or later there will be another new three year old leftover you can pick up for just over $6000.00.
