I've wanted a Daytona since I saw one, But have never ridden one.

who has owned/ridden both Sprint ST and Daytona, what can I expect if I switch? I'm also debating on waiting till 2008 and buying the new version ( hey I can dream!!)

I've ridden a 2002 Daytona, I own a 99 Daytona and have ridden a 99 Sprint. I will probably buy a new Sprint for my next bike. The new Sprint is probably a lot better than the older models with more power. I'd try to ride a Daytona. You won't be dissappointed with one. I love mine. I'm going to try and hang onto it when I buy a Sprint. I just want something a little more comfortable and with hard bags as an option. Next year my commute is going to get longer. So the Sport/Touring option is looking better. Hell, my brother inlaw had no problem keeping up with me on his 99 Sprint when we rode to Reno.

Lighter and more power is what you should expect. Depending on your insurance company, you should also expect to pay more. Is the Daytona worth it to me... every penny.

yeah I'm still torn, Sprint is awsome and comfy at same time
