Take a look at the members photo section and Fatjim's folder. You will see my Daytona 12 before and after the removal of the fairing and stuff.

The parts used are :-

Thunderbird sport.... top yoke, clock mount, throttle cable, choke cable and hydraulic lines.

Speed Triple mark 1.... clocks.

Tiger mark 1.... handlebar clamps (with the vibration rubbers shortened to fit) and speedometer cable.

Speed triple mark 2.... headlamps and mounting bracket.

Other stuff.... aftermarket indicators mounted on brackets from top radiator mount. A home made bracket to fit the headlamp bracket to the Daytona 12 frame (where the old fairing bracket used to mount. The horns are mounted on a home made bracket on the left hand side of the engine (same place as the Thunderbirds), and finally a home made "chin" guard to protect the oil cooler hoses at the front. Don't forget to leave the bottom fairing mount framwork on. This mounts the oil cooler.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

FatJim :-D

Do you think I could use a TBS top yoke and bars (or the bar setup you mentioned) on my Daytona while leaving the fairing in tact?

I would _love_ to try that.

I'm sorry mate I don't really know if the TBS route for the handle bars would work with the standard Daytona fairing. However I doubt it would work as the bars are at least 4 inches higher than standard and my recollection was that there wasn't that amount of clearance. I did consider a Triumph Sprint Sport mark 1.5 (the one where they used speed triple mark 1's as touring bikes) fairing. Have to say though I'm now thinking of going with the single headlight and the small sport screen that is fitted to my TBS (and Bonnevilles etc.).

Sorry I couldn't help

Regards

FatJim
