in my dealings with the Triumph dealer's parts counter, it appears that there is a difference between 1999 955i Daytona models with the last 6 numbers in their VIN and 71698 below and 71699 and above. the problem is, that the parts guy doesn't know what the differences are.
does anyone know what these differences are? i have not run into a parts compatibility issue yet, but would love to avoid one. i have seen that the two VINs use a different fuel filter assembly plate gasket for the gas tank.
i had a '72 Triumph T120 (Bonneville) and ran into the same issue with different parts for the same model.
