My friend bought me the First Gear mesh for my bday last year. I like it. Allows a good flow, has pads at the elbows back and shoulders. I don't know the price, since it was a present.

I like First Gear stuff. I have the Kilumunjara for winter, and since I have to wear dockers to work, I got the pullover pants and they are very nice as well.

rino2301, I picked up a Joe Rocket 'Phoenix'. I've only had it a week or so, but no complaints.

Vanson makes one of the best. It costs $200.00.

I have the vanson an love it. It's good between 60 and 100F has good armour, and is really comfy to wear.

I have a Triumph raptor jacket and it's been excellent for hot weather riding.

It's about 80% mesh with armour in the right places and only runs about $125.00.

i wear an icon tarmac stealth jacket when it is hot ,, in arkansas during the summer it gets way hot and humid ,, but the jacket is still wearable even on the hottest days.

Try the Joe Rocket Alter Ego. Shell zips off to provide mesh ventilation on your torso, but elbow, shoulder and back protection stays in place. Has a handy integrated back pack to carry the zipped off panels. Alter Ego pants also have a zip off ventilation strip in the legs and an 8" zipper to join to the jacket. Both come with removable waterproof liners (which are also great at retaining body heat on cold days). I've had mine for a season and used them all year...though it didn't stop me from picking up a two piece Alpinestars GPU leather suit over the winter!

I also have the Triumph Raptor jacket, pants and gloves. Great set of gear. I have an Icon mesh when I want to wear jeans, which is rare. I also have a set of Alpine Stars leathers which are somewhat vented and have removeable liner, for use under 70 degrees F. Can't go wrong with the Triumph stuff, well made. It is black though, which warms up when you stop.

webbikeworld.com has some real nice reviews on all types of clothing. Also you can research phase-change material.
They make it in vests. It's kinda like small bags that you can freeze and then put in to pouches on a vest. Some will keep you cool for three ours in 90f degree weather.
