With 48000 miles on, the old girl ( a T3 900 Daytona ) hasn't taken too lightly to sitting in the garage for the last few weeks. Checking the bike over the other day, I have noticed that the black finish on the pillion footrest hangars has got corrosion under it, and is starting to lift in places. Does anyone know of a paint finish that matches the original black, crinkle finish applied by the factory all those years ago?

I found if you use acrylic or other spray type paints they react with the original coating and you end up with a real mess. My advice is to either just polish them back to aluminium and have em shiny or get em powder coated. I haven't found a spray can yet that will touch up properly on T3 engine or chassis parts.

I am waiting on a contact to give me some pricing

See http://www.jaws-motorcycles.co.uk/polishing.htm

Powder coating is the way to go, and I have done business with John @ Jaws before and he is a star!!!
