Discovered '94'super III

Hi everyone,

I am a new owner of a 94 Daytona super III Here is how i got the Bike :My uncle passed away a little over a year ago. I was the executor to his estate being as he had no children. well I got a call from a storage unit place trying to find him saying his lease was up and it had to be renewed or empty the unit. so I went over to empty out this unit that nobody knew he had and inside was a military type metal ammo box and a bike with a cover on it laying on its side Appears to have fallen over how I have no clue. I have all the paper work from its import from the UK in 1995 but dont even think it was ever registered here in the USA

After getting the bike to my work I did a little research on it I am a Harley Guy I own 2 and have no clue on Triumph's so I joined the forum to hopefully learn a few things . After some advice from a member on here I decided to start the bike. It was stored with a dry tank so I lucked out there. I removed the tank to check the plugs they seemed in good condition but put new ones in anyway. put in a new battery and dropped the oil which didnt look bad either and put fresh in it. after a few cranks it fired right up and runs like mint!!!!

here are the good and bads of the bike that i have noticed so far..

Good/ only 900 KM on it, no dents scratches dings or anything everything on the bike works great!!!

Bad/ From the fall it had taken the left front turn signal s busted and the shift lever broke. (The peg broke off from the shaft of the shifter lever )

So here come the questions. is this bike worth buying the parts for? is there a market for these bikes? should i put some KM's on it? or should i leave it sit encase i want to sell it? Im not really sure what these bikes are worth or if there is a market for them im really lost at this point here are a few pics i have taken i also took a video of me starting the bike i will upload it later today and link it here ..

Thanks Frank

Confused: you say imported as original UK bike but say it has 900km on clock - it would be miles if actual UK model
Is it Canadian?

It could have been an export/Euro spec model .

I would think it is worth spending the $ on the directional and shift lever, its an incredible find even though I'm sure you wish you happened on it another way. From the pic. it looks like a beauty, you should ride it for a while then decide if you want to sell it or not, something tells me you won't want to.

Amazing find, unfortunate circumstances though. I am sorry for your loss.

I feel weird saying this, but if you do happen to decide to sell it, please feel free to send me a message. I have been looking for a Daytona 1200 for awhile. Its your bike though, please don't feel pressured at all, do as you please with it.

Its just the whole situation, your uncle. I wanted to make sure I didn't cross any lines or sound like a dick.

I would really appreciate it though if you could contact me first if you decide to sell it.

They came in a bunch of sizes, including 900's I believe, along with the 1000's and 1200's.

The only thing I would suggest, because it is such low kilometers, before doing much with it you may want to have it gone over by a mechanic. Vehicles are made to be driven, they really don't like sitting for long periods of time. I actually have an old rare Jaguar in great shape, decided to try and save it by not driving it. Turns out now that by not driving it I caused serious problems with it, it requires about $20000 worth of repairs to drive again, so it shall continue to sit, until I have the money to get the cat to pounce once again! Just a thought since the bike is 18 years old and I would assume hasn't been moved much.
