Nice. First black one I've seen. All my motorcycles are/have been black, except my Sprint, which I painted tornado red after I crashed it, it was BRG.

Is that a real dark green? I just noticed you said it was a CE, think they only came green? Hard to tell with the reflections.

Interesting conversation about the Daytona or at least the 2nd gen higher HP motor. Triumph itself has eclipsed the orig. T595 with the 675 Daytona. A bit less HP, lighter, better handling, faster acceleration and same top speed. Not as comfortable since it's really a track bike and falls into the 600SS category, but more with less cc. I guess that's progress.

In a straight line,I agree that the Daytona is not the fastest sportbike out there by a long shot. I admit that I had to sink some $ in to mine to get it the way I wanted, but at the end of the day what it boils down to is rider ability not what your riding.

Dean, that is a beauty. the black on black is the bomb!

And Jon I could not agree more the sound from that triple is like no other. The only thing that comes close is a Rolls Royce Merlin in a P51 Mustang,on a fly over, 100ft off the deck, at 200 knots

Colour pictures of my Centennial Edition are always deceiving. The same happens on a cloudy day when from a distance the OEM colour Aston Green (a dark metallic finish green) looks to be black. Only in direct sunshine does it real justice, and fortunately we have lots of that here in South Africa!

BTW: While the CE only came out in Aston Green (although there is some evidence to suggest that some late 2002 (e.g., after the Hinckley Factory Fire in March 2002) models that arrived in the US were painted red),
