The tach cable's O-ring on my Z1 always leaked follwing an excessive over rev...tattle tale feature.

Chris, I'd look at the connectors related to the tachometer first, hopefully not within the gauge itself. I think older motorcycles lend themselves to bunching problems together, in particular when nothing has been removed for a long time. I think I can R&R the bodywork on my '98 as fast as anybody on the planet.

Worth it though and I think this tank of gas will have the worst fuel mileage I've recorded yet. The cool temperatures I've had lately just seems to encourage riding harder.

Brad, I had a '77 KZ1000 with the same problem that I could never get to stop leaking, drove me nuts.

Can anyone tell me if a Legend needs an ignition coil. Can anyone tell me if it needs one or three of them?
