It used to be red. Yellow 595 bodywork replaced it.

It has an Ohlins shock and titanium nitrided LE modified forks.

The front rotors are Brembo full floaters with a Nissin 19mm master cylinder.

Attack brand adjustable triple clamps, shock linkage and rearsets.
The gas cap is off of a Rocket III so it has a chrome ring and black center.

PaulF, With so much attention to detail, and tastefully executed to boot, I'd expect your '99 to have been very well maintained. If you've taken delivery, how does it ride?

Brad

PS I suspected an Akro can, thanks for the confirmation.

The polished frame was the look Triumph originally intended for the bike. So your bike is especially kiff!!! (=cool dude!). It was only after some frame issues early on in Triumph's re-introduction to the US-market that the factory decided to paint the frame.

From what I've read there was a head tube issue with some of the painted early '97 T509/T595 frames. Although Triumph addressed the problem quickly, a rumor began after Triumph deleted clear coating the frame that all of the clear coated (glossy) frames were defective.

While there is a speck of truth to that rumor, such a broad generalization has been proven incorrect.

It was the bike of the owner of the shop, so yes, very well maintained. Unfortunately I don't get it for another week yet ...
