Although initially aimed at the Speed Triple, the GB will include the identical 02-06 Daytona fitment also (or even a different brand/model if adapter is available)
(Please see notes later in thread specific to the 97-01 model Daytona - can discuss further here if anyone wants more info)
Please sign up at the official thread although discussion is welcome here.
Just an additional FYI - I just swapped out the Swing-arm spindle on my early (97-01) this afternoon for the later model spindle with the 17mm Hex fitting - very quick process, took less than an hour. Didn't even remove the wheel!*
For used part cost of $25 shipped!
* It's important to recognize where all the loads are however before you undertake this.
So again, just to re-assure anyone who might have been disappointed by not being able to fit this with having 97-01, not a big deal to swap it out.
No Daytona owners signed up yet - point the sign-up thread at your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend with strong hints with Gifting Season just around the corner!
This is probably a dumb question. I just got a 955i and every other bike I have ever owned in the last decade has had a center stand. Why not just put one on the Daytona and not worry about a paddock stand?
I just got mine today & it is every bit & more to expectation.
It is really easy to maneuver on the casters - see how I can now 'parallel park' it into tight space.
It will also rotate on its own axis so can turn the bike completely around in a single bay!
Reminder bump - 2 weeks left
Minimum number has been fulfilled so you can get straight in
- Speeds, Streets and Sprints all signed up, surprisingly no Daytonas
For anyone who is still on the fence LAST DAY FOR GROUP BUY IS TOMORROW 11/30!
