That is just a beautiful, beautiful Daytona ! I don't think i've seen red with a black frame before, really nice ! Congrats!

I'm blown away by how nice it is. It was in a large warehouse with about 70 other motorcycles, mostly 2 -3 year old Ducatis. I thought it was the best looking bike there, but I might be just a bit biased!

It's off the truck now so I could post a photo of the bike in a more provocative position, as long as you don't have a weak heart!

Yes, there was one that I tried pretty hard to get, even tried to buy it in the damaged state, but the owner decided to keep it. That was the one that needed a muffler and other items, You kindly offered your spare stock muffler, thanks again.

I talked with the seller this evening. He said he really misses the bike but is retiring and felt the need to reduce maintenance and insurance cost. He sold the Triumph and a Harley for a reduction from 5 bikes to 3. His only complaint about the Daytona was that it came to him (he was 2nd owner) with the highipe and he couldnt put his soft bags on it.
I think that situation has been rectified by the fabrication work of someone on this site hasnt it?

Be careful I have a weak ticker! I still have the stock muffler waiting to be shipped, I guess I can put it back up in storage now. I have an undertail exhaust from Wolf - Trident so I can still use my bags, not the reason I have it but it was an added plus, If that's the fabrication work you are referring to.

Turk , the fab work was a rack someone here makes to fit the Daytona. As I recall, it held soft bags in place and away from the high exhaust. I'll do a search. I've done so much reading about these bikes over the last couple of months that I'm in memory overload.
In all the reading I didn't find any owner/rider/ reveiwer that did not like the Daytona.

I spoke with the guy in NJ as well about his black Daytona and made an offer and he told me he had someone coming to check it out as well (maybe it was you??)....I think Glen and everyone else here on the board got the interest up on his bike...lol...lucky him...now the race to see who gets him the money first !! lol...you're closer to NJ being in NY and I found another that is more local to me....let me know if you hear anything else from him...or decide to not pick it up !! Ride safe !!

Nothing yet, but the lack of response inclines me toward it being sold, though hard to say, being Christmas. I've talked to another owner, who posted here, but it's further away, harder to get it here, and I would probably have to paint it. (I'm anal about paint, LOL, I've painted 3 of my 4 bikes, the R3T is only a little over 2 years old, and the factory paint sucks, I'm liable to paint that too, soon)

I had the impression it was someone local looking at it Saturday, he did message me Saturday saying he was waiting for a phone call/decision from the guy. I'm at the extreme western end of NY, the Jersey bike is pretty far to "check out", I'd want to be pretty sure I was buying it to drive that far.
