Jeez, I bitched about no Daytona forum on this site yesterday, and today, here it is! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!
Come on all you Daytona owners, commence discussions so that this forum stays open.

I'll start with my Truimph story - back in the eighties I owned a SWEET Silver Jubilee Anniversary Edition Bonneville. Straight pipes the only mod. Loud enough to get stopped and ticketed by the Virginia Police, more than once, I think. Great bike - looks, sound, handling, easy maintenance, etc. Had to sell it after a couple of years, but ever since, have always wanted another Triumph. So now there's a 2002 955i Daytona CE in the garage to accompany my Guzzis. Man that thing is fast, and so classy looking with the Aston green paint and lack of bodywork graphics. Just installed a Powerbronze DB in dark tint, which perfectly completes the "stealth" look. Other mods include an MHP hi-pipe (best quality can I've seen) and Jack Lilley billet levers.
Any recommendations on billet foot pegs, just a little longer than stock?

Very cool addition to the page!

I’ve also got an ’02 CE Daytona. It was my first sportbike after riding cruisers/Bonnie since ’87. I never thought I’d be riding one until I saw this bike at the Seattle MC show that year. As soon as my local dealer got one in, I put a deposit on it. In fact, this Saturday marks my 1 year anniversary with the bike.

Mods so far are minimal; Staintune can/ Triumph aero shield/ Triumph throw-over saddle bags/ and a 17 tooth sprocket in a few days from now.

I ride her year round, rain or shine. Its amazing how well it handles the rain. My only complaint is the paint; the tank shows a lot of scuffs. I need to look at getting something like the “tank-sapper” to minimize the wear. Although seeing the wear is a character mark of sorts- shows that I ride it…

I’ve been told there were only 117 of the CEs built- anyone hear otherwise?

A buddy of mine also has a CE, which he has customized. Both of ours are in my member’s page (pg 4).

Gotta love Triumph for building some incredible bikes! I’m working on getting a third- an orange Speed Four

I bought a CE last year after a buddy found me a great deal from a local shop. He bought one as well, which would lead me to believe that their are more than 117. My dealer told me 200, but I have heard up to 400 in the US. Haven't done any mods yet, waiting on a Corbin, planning on TBR or Skyking risers, and a high mount from Staintune, Triumph (3/03), or Renegade. I thought the scratches on the tank were just me looking too closely during cleaning! I have a magnetic tank bag that is useless, and I am not real fond of the strap bags.
I saw this alternative at an AMA race last year, and I am waiting on a Triumph application. www.luggagelocker.com
Great idea, good price and quality. should keep scratches from the top of the tank.
